About Us
The Story of Kiddie Kollege of Frankford
Since opening our doors, our goal has always been to provide a place where children feel safe and loved, and where parents feel confident in the care their child receives. We’ve built our program on the belief that childhood is a critical and valuable stage in life, and it's our responsibility to honor it.
Our staff, who are the heart of Kiddie Kollege, are experts in early childhood development. We support their commitment to providing exceptional care by ensuring they have a respectful and supportive work environment. This philosophy is reflected in our adherence to the principles of the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) Code of Ethical Conduct, which guides our every interaction and decision.
We’re not just a daycare; we’re a place where self-worth, resiliency, and a love for learning are nurtured every day. Thank you for considering us to be a part of your child’s journey.
Our Story & Mission
Welcome to Kiddie Kollege of Frankford, a premier educational program committed to providing all families access to an excellent education that prepares children for the future. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that children are our future and the first five years of their lives are the most critical for building a foundation for a prosperous future. We are a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. Our goal is to support children in becoming life-long learners.
Our Core Values
We are committed to our core values, which guide everything we do:
Respect, Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, and Fun.
We treat all children with respect, regardless of race, gender, religion, disability, family structure, or socio-economic status.
We adhere to the NAEYC code of ethical conduct.
Our Educational Approach & Curriculum
Our program utilizes the Creative Curriculum, which translates early childhood education research and theory into a practical approach to working with children and their families. This curriculum focuses on creating a stimulating learning environment with dedicated interest areas, including:
- Building
- Dramatic play
- Small manipulatives
- Art
- Library
- Science
- Music and movement
- Computer and gross motor
Through a balance of child-initiated free play and teacher-directed activities, we promote each child’s social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
What Sets Us Apart
We proudly participate in the Keystone STARS program, demonstrating our commitment to quality standards.
We welcome all children and work in partnership with families and other professionals to ensure full access and participation for every child, including those with disabilities.
Our program adheres to the low group size and ratio guidelines set by the Department of Human Services and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Our Director, Fatima Soumare, and Assistant Director, Shantee Snipe, serve as the primary caregivers for all children enrolled in our program to support healthy bonds and relationships.
